Episode Notes

When The Church Does Not Agree: The Immigration and Refugee Crisis As An Example of How To Debate Prudential Matters As the Body of Christ. We undoubtedly make people mad by NOT choosing a particular side, but bringing to bear the two principles regarding Immigration and Refugees (as outlined by a document from Pope Pius XII) and meditating on how we can faithfully engage people in the Church we disagree with regarding how to prudentially apply both principles in our particular context. Rather than give 4 "easy steps" to dialogue," we have 4 difficult "thorns" we hope everyone holds in their heart when speaking about these difficult issues: how will Prayer, Revelation, Reason, and Experience spur our hearts to see those who disagree with us as part of the solution and not first of all part of the problem?
